Simon Worrell is a writer, opera singer and medical doctor based in the UK. He trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and has worked across the performing arts throughout his career. As a practising doctor he has written for governments, multinationals and NGOs on issues ranging from Ebola outbreaks to humanitarian worker safety and psychological care abroad. He proposed the UK airport COVID testing programme during the pandemic, leading a team that tested two million passengers, and is currently bringing a new blood test to diagnose Alzheimer's Disease to the UK.
