Dean Addams is a London-based performer, writer and event organiser with a first-class honours degree in Film and Media from the University of Sheffield, where his short film was selected for the BFI Festival. He went on to complete a Master's degree in English Literature specialising in queer studies, exploring sexual dissidence and cultural change, before training as a psychotherapist and, more recently, as a shamanic practitioner. As a performer, Dean fronts the cabaret alter ego Debbie Del Rey: singer, burlesque artist and host, with nine sold-out shows across London and credits hosting multiple film festivals. He also produced The Power of Love, a World AIDS Day event held at The Tabernacle in 2018. At Flicker, he covers queer performance and live culture.
