What Does Pride Mean to You? | Voices from London Pride 2025

London Pride means something different to everyone.

At Pride in London 2025, Flicker Magazine and LEXME.RED asked people in the crowd one simple question: "What does Pride mean to you?" The answers ranged from funny and spontaneous to personal and deeply felt.

Claudia Clarke, Lex Melony and Matt Eberlein spent the day speaking with people across the parade route, meeting first time attendees, long time supporters, LGBTQ+ people and allies. Each conversation brought a different perspective on what Pride represents in 2025.

Some spoke about freedom. Others talked about community, visibility, friendship or simply feeling comfortable being themselves. Together, these conversations create a snapshot of Pride through the people who were there, sharing their experiences in their own words.
