An ESEA queer short film programme exploring love, memory and glitch aesthetics comes to QUEERCIRCLE this Friday

The Knot Collective presents Love Residues and Glitch Dreams at QUEERCIRCLE in Greenwich on 17 July. A short film programme about queer survival as play, followed by a movement workshop with Finch Huang.

Love is not always resolution. Sometimes it lingers. Love Residues and Glitch Dreams, presented by The Knot Collective at QUEERCIRCLE this Friday, is a short film programme about what remains when intimacy does not resolve cleanly, about the ways women and non-binary people carve out agency inside systems that were never built to hold them.

The programme moves through early-2000s media culture, online gaming, gothic role-play and dreamlike landscapes. Glitches mark moments where reality falters. Humour, performance and rewritten personas become ways of navigating constraint. The films hold their emotional loops open rather than closing them off.

Following the screening, London-based queer artist Finch Huang leads a body movement workshop exploring movement, play and improvisation as extensions of the themes in the films.

The Knot Collective is a queer organisation focused on East and Southeast Asian LGBTQ+ communities and cultural production. QUEERCIRCLE is London's dedicated LGBTQ+ arts space in Greenwich.
