Q-IFTUK is calling for submissions to its second Irish Pride Film Festival in London this June

The dedicated LGBTQ+ branch of Irish Film and Television UK returns with three days of screenings, panels and networking across Hammersmith and Soho from 23 to 27 June 2026.

Submissions are open for the second Q-IFTUK Irish Pride Film Festival London, and the call is out to queer Irish filmmakers everywhere. Features, shorts, documentaries, animation, experimental work, web series and artists' films are all welcome. Submit via FilmFreeway. Full details at iftuk.com/q-iftuk.

The festival runs across three days. The opening night is Tuesday 23 June at the Irish Cultural Centre Hammersmith, followed by Friday 26 and Saturday 27 June at the Century Club in Soho. Screenings, panel discussions and industry networking make up the programme, which will be announced in full over the coming weeks. Awards will be presented for Best Feature Film, Best Short Film and the Audience Choice Award.

Q-IFTUK is the dedicated LGBTQ+ branch of Irish Film and Television UK, led by Irish actor, presenter and producer Derek Murphy. The organisation describes itself as the first Irish arts body in the UK to form a dedicated LGBTQ+ division. Its patrons include Tom Abell, founder of Peccadillo Pictures and a long-standing figure in queer film distribution, and Bernárd Lynch, activist and recipient of the Presidential Distinguished Service Award for the Irish Abroad.

The 2025 inaugural edition was oversubscribed and well attended. Year two has an expanded programme and the backing of Screen Ireland and Culture Ireland.

Submissions close ahead of the June festival. Submit now at filmfreeway.com.
