Lex Melony is an award-winning Ukrainian-British filmmaker and producer based in London. A graduate of BA Film Studies at De Montfort University, he founded the OFN LGBTQIA+ Film Festival in 2022, which now screens films from over 30 countries and recently held its first international edition in Paris. Alongside his festival work he has directed and produced short films and documentaries. At Flicker, he writes about queer cinema, festivals and independent film, bringing the authority of someone who has worked across every side of independent film. He founded Flicker Magazine to build a platform for independent and LGBTQIA+ voices in film and culture.
